Fakepuppy was launched in January of 2008. I always wanted to create a place where I could bet on sports but never worry about losing money.
I have seen some other sites and message board plugins like
vBookie that allow for virtual betting, but they all had limitations.
I wanted to create a site that was fully automated that would let users bet every day on major sports.
I like to compare Fake
Puppy to Fantasy Sports. The big difference is you are not limited to the same team day after day. When it comes to betting on games, there's something
interesting about being able to predict who is going to win, beat the spread, or go over/under. Sometimes it shows you that team trends have a little
more to do with it than you thought. There's no doubt that it adds a different dimension to sports.
One thing I should touch on is that FakePuppy is fake - it's virtual. There is no real money involved here in any
way, and I don't want you to use it for that. FakePuppy is strictly kibble based!
Enjoy FakePuppy,
